Who we are
OCA Community Kitchen CIC is a social enterprise providing food and cooking classes to low income families in London.

Oca Community Kitchen was established in 2020, as a response to the food insecurity experienced by families during the pandemic. OCA Community Kitchen has provided food parcels to families many of them with children.

What is Oca?
“Oca” refers to a root vegetable from the Sierras of Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia which are harvested by the “Cholitas” which play a role for the community as farmers, mothers and housewives. We are inspired by the spirit of the Cholitas to fight for equality and feed all our families by selling the surplus for an additional income. OCA for us represents our belief that food is a common good for people.
